Check System Requirements For Games

Check here to find out if your PC or Mac can run The Sims 4 and The Sims 4 Expansion Packs

Mar 21, 2018  You can check system requirements for a Steam game on both the Steam website, and the Steam client. The Steam Client more or less just loads the website when it comes to showing you details of a game. Visit the game page and scroll down past the description and the reviews. There’s a dedicated section called ‘System Requirements’. Apr 05, 2013  Should Steam be able to scan your PC specs and check if you can run a game? System requirements aren't reliable, not the ones the games set for their game, nor is there any reliable guideline for a computer with x different pieces to see whether it can actually play a game or not, there's no clear cut off line between yes you can or no you.

On October 3, 2019 we’re releasing a patch update that will no longer support The Sims 4 on the macOS Lion (10.7) operating system.

If you want to keep playing the game while running macOS Lion (10.7), do not update The Sims 4 with the October 3 patch, or any future game patches. You can read more on how to keep playing in our Answers HQ thread.

If you’d like to try an automatic scan of your computer to see if it can run The Sims 4, visit the System Requirements Lab site and run their Can You RUN it tool for The Sims 4.

EA does not own or operate System Requirements Lab's Can You RUN It page, nor can we make any changes to their page or system. Any use of the site and tools is at your own risk.

If you want to check for yourself, right click My Computer, and choose Properties. If you’re playing on Windows 10, you can search for This PC then right-click it in the search results.

  • This brings up a window that shows a lot of information about your system, including your processor, RAM, and operating system.

To check what kind of graphics card you have, use the menu at the left to open Device Manager, and click the > beside Display adapters.

You might see one or two graphics cards listed there, depending on whether you have a dedicated graphics card or not.
